Returns & Refunds Policy

Summary

You have 30 days from receipt to return unworn, unaltered caps for a full refund. Return shipping is free using our prepaid label. Once verified, refunds process within 5-7 business days.

1. Returns Window

You may initiate a return within 30 days of receipt of your order. The return must be requested within this window; items received after this period may not be refundable.

We determine the receipt date based on the carrier's delivery confirmation, not the date you ordered.

2. Condition Requirements

To qualify for a full refund, items must:

  • Be unworn: No visible wear, stains, odours, or signs of use
  • Be unaltered: Tags intact, embroidery undamaged, no modifications
  • Be in original packaging: Original box, bag, or packaging materials
  • Include all components: Original snapback strap, any documentation

Items showing obvious signs of wear will be rejected and shipped back to you at your cost.

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom embroidered or personalised caps
  • Clearance or final sale items (marked as such at checkout)
  • Items damaged due to misuse, accident, or care instructions not followed

Sale/discounted items are still returnable under standard conditions.

4. How to Initiate a Return

Step 1: Email returns@megacaps.co.uk with:

  • Your order number
  • Item(s) being returned
  • Reason for return
  • Photo of the item (if possible)

Step 2: We'll review your request and respond within 24 hours with a return authorisation number (RAN) and prepaid Royal Mail returns label.

Step 3: Pack the item securely with the label and drop it at any Royal Mail post office. Keep your receipt for tracking.

5. Return Shipping

All approved returns include a free prepaid Royal Mail label. You pay nothing for return shipping.

Returns must be posted within 14 days of receiving your label. Items posted after this period may not be accepted.

Shipping Address: We'll provide the return address on your label. Do not return items to any other address.

6. Refund Processing

Timeline:

  • We receive your return: 5-10 business days (Royal Mail)
  • We inspect and verify the item: 2-3 business days
  • Refund initiates: within 5-7 business days
  • Refund reaches your account: 3-5 business days (depending on your bank)

In total, allow 2-3 weeks from dropping off your return to seeing the refund in your account.

7. What Gets Refunded

  • Full Price: The amount you paid for the item
  • Shipping (if included): Original shipping costs are refunded
  • NOT included: Return shipping costs (covered by us via prepaid label)

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Refund amounts will be minus any applicable discount codes applied at purchase (you'll receive the full order price).

8. Exchanges

Instead of returning for a refund, you can exchange for a different size or colour at no additional cost (within 30 days, same conditions apply).

To arrange an exchange, email returns@megacaps.co.uk. Send the item back using the prepaid label we provide, and we'll ship your replacement item at no charge.

9. Defects & Damage

If you receive an item with a manufacturing defect or damage from shipping:

  • Contact us within 7 days with photos
  • We'll assess and arrange a replacement or refund immediately
  • Return shipping is still covered by us

These returns are expedited and don't follow the standard 30-day window.

10. Wrong Item or Size

If we sent you the wrong item or size:

  • Contact us immediately at returns@megacaps.co.uk
  • We'll send a replacement or refund right away
  • Return shipping is free
  • No questions asked

11. Change of Mind / Fit Issues

If a cap simply doesn't fit after you've adjusted the snapback:

  • Return it within 30 days in unworn condition
  • We'll issue a full refund or exchange for a different size
  • Same free return shipping applies

We've designed our caps for a wide range of head sizes (54-62 cm), but we understand fit can be subjective.

12. Refused/Unclaimed Packages

If you refuse delivery or fail to collect a parcel, it will be returned to us. Once we receive it back, we'll issue a refund minus the outbound shipping cost (as we've already paid this).

13. Bulk & Wholesale Returns

Bulk orders and wholesale returns follow modified terms:

  • Standard 30-day window applies
  • Minimum order thresholds may apply (contact wholesale@megacaps.co.uk)
  • Return shipping for bulk orders may involve different carriers

14. Missing Items

If your order arrived incomplete:

  • Contact us within 7 days with order details and photos
  • We'll send the missing items at no charge or issue a refund

15. Carrier Damage

If the carrier (Royal Mail, DHL, etc.) delivers a damaged package:

  • File a claim with the carrier immediately
  • Contact us with the claim reference
  • We'll assist in the claims process
  • Once resolved, you'll receive a replacement or refund

18. FAQs

Can I return without a reason?
Yes, as long as the cap is unworn and in original packaging.

What if the size is wrong but I've tried it on?
If you've worn the cap (even briefly), it doesn't qualify as "unworn" and cannot be returned for a refund. However, contact us — we may be able to work out an exchange in some cases.

What if I lose the tracking receipt for my return?
You can track your return using your original order number. Contact us and we'll help you locate it.

Do you accept international returns?
Yes, but prepaid labels are for UK returns only. International returns require you to cover shipping costs first, then you can request reimbursement. Email returns@megacaps.co.uk for international return addresses.

What if a refund never arrives?
This is rare, but contact your bank first to confirm the refund didn't go to a different account. Then email us with the refund tracking ID from your bank, and we'll investigate.
